1. Overview

Save The Tree is published by Fat Cat Games. The game uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded advertisements and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. This policy explains what information these services and Fat Cat Games may process, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.

Fat Cat Games does not sell your personal information.

2. Game progress stored on your device

Your progress and preferences are stored locally on your device. This local information is used to continue your game and remember your settings; it is not sent to Fat Cat Games as part of ordinary gameplay.

3. Optional rewarded advertising with Google AdMob

Save The Tree offers optional rewarded ads. You decide whether to watch an ad in exchange for the reward described in the game, such as continuing a run. The game does not require you to watch a rewarded ad to start playing.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as your IP address, which may be used to estimate general location; interactions with the app and ads, including ad views and taps; diagnostic and performance information; and device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID or app set ID where available.

Google and participating advertising providers may use this information to deliver ads, measure performance, perform analytics, and prevent fraud and abuse. Ads may be personalized, non-personalized or limited depending on your region, device settings and consent choices. The game requests ads with a maximum content rating of G.

4. Consent and advertising choices

Save The Tree uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request updated consent information when the game launches, show a consent form when required, and confirm whether ads may be requested before loading them. Where required, the game also provides a privacy-options entry point so you can review or change your choices.

You can manage or delete your advertising identifier through your device settings. Rejecting personalized advertising does not necessarily remove ads; it may result in non-personalized or limited ads.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, consent messages and advertising choices are configured through Google’s consent tools. The providers and purposes shown may vary according to your location and Google’s current advertising configuration.

5. Notifications and Firebase Cloud Messaging

If you grant notification permission, Save The Tree uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to receive notifications. The game registers a messaging token together with the device platform, app version, language and country, and stores a generated device identifier locally. When you open a campaign notification, the campaign identifier and generated device identifier may be sent to Fat Cat Games to record that opening.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. The notification token is not used to identify an account because Save The Tree does not require a user account.

6. Google services and further information

7. Data retention

Information processed by Google is subject to Google’s retention practices and controls. Notification registration information and campaign-opening records controlled by Fat Cat Games are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide notifications, measure their delivery, protect the service or comply with legal obligations. Information received with a support or privacy request is retained only as long as needed to respond and meet applicable obligations.

8. Data security

Information sent by the game is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Children’s privacy

Fat Cat Games does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information that is not necessary to use the game. If Save The Tree is offered to an audience for whom child-directed advertising requirements apply, its advertising configuration must comply with the relevant platform, Google and applicable legal requirements. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Fat Cat Games, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction or deletion; restrict or object to certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise rights for information directly controlled by Fat Cat Games, contact us using the details below. For information controlled directly by Google, use Google’s privacy controls and contact channels.

11. International processing

Google and advertising technology providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their privacy documentation and any applicable transfer safeguards.

12. App stores and platform providers

If you download Save The Tree through Google Play, the App Store or another platform, that platform may independently process information under its own privacy policy. This processing is separate from Fat Cat Games and AdMob.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to Save The Tree, its advertising or notification setup, service providers or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the policy was most recently revised.
